come & see the story God is writing in san francisco

An invitation to experience the city, the church, and the mission — up close.

A Glimpse

see it for yourself

A glimpse of the city, the church, and the weekend.

Why We Exist

that everyone would experience true sanctuary in Jesus

People are searching for sanctuary: a place of safety, rest, peace & belonging.

Sanctuary Church exists because “sanctuary” is missing in San Francisco — and Jesus is the one who offers it.

We’re believing for many to find sanctuary in Christ, become sanctuary together, and extend sanctuary to the city.

the dream

Lives Transformed

People added to the kingdom. Unhoused finding dignity with jobs. Addicts experiencing freedom. The wealthy finding meaning in generosity. Nothing is impossible for God.

A Regional Hub of Churches

A strong sending church, which plants and resources churches across The Bay – from Napa Valley to Berkeley, from Palo Alto to Santa Cruz.

Global Impact

Those saved and added being sent to plant churches in their home countries — seeing the gospel reach every corner of the earth.

Everyone Is Welcome

who this weekend is for

Come to Cheer Us On

You love what God is doing and want to support it — through presence, encouragement, prayer, and generosity. Come see the work on the ground and go home carrying the story.

Come for a Season

Traveling nurses, college students with a free summer, church-plant residents, retirees with a few months to give. A 3–12 month stint here can make a real difference — come explore what that could look like.

Come to Stay

Some of you are praying about moving to San Francisco to help build Sanctuary Church for the long haul. This weekend is designed to help you discern that call up close.
